A few weeks ago, I walked into the pet store on a whim and brought home two beautiful little platys. I didn’t know one was male and one was female. I didn’t know they had live fry. And I definitely didn’t know I was about to become an accidental fish grandma to a whole squad of tiny, colorful swimmers.
But here we are — and I kind of love it.
This little corner of the journal is for them. I want to share their progress, celebrate the fry milestones, and keep track of when these sweet babies are ready to find new homes in our community. I’ll be posting video updates to my YouTube channel too, so you can really see how fast they grow and how much personality fits into such a tiny tank.
I never planned to become a fish keeper, let alone a breeder. But sometimes the best little projects in life are the ones you don’t see coming. I’m grateful for the surprise — and for all of you who’ve already said you’d love to follow along.
